Left in its original condition and cared for by its 2 owners throughout its life, this 1976 Triumph Spitfire has been covered and stored in a garage for the last 7 years. The previous owner purchased the Triumph from the original owner. The previous owner’s family continued to drive the car short distances around town and stored the car in their garage. The previous owner passed away and the car sat for a period of time. Once the car reached our facility it was easily started with a little bit of fresh fuel in the carburetor. The Spitfire ran surprisingly smooth and idled out fine, a complete fluid change is recommended but this Triumph is in excellent condition considering its age! The red exterior is the original paint that does show some minor imperfection throughout but is in overall good condition. All of the chrome shows well as does the rubber bumpers. The interior has also remained as the original black leather but an aftermarket radio and two speakers have been installed behind the seats. The 1500cc inline 4 cylinder remains as the powerplant for the Triumph and is shifted by a 4 speed manual transmission. When ran the engine sounded very healthy but will need to be exercised! Only 9,000 miles show on the odometer and the car certainly resembles a cared lifetime, this is a great “barn find” that has held its originality and is now available for the next!
