BEING SOLD WITH TITLE
The Series AE Independence would replace the Series AD cars with transitions such as a new worm-and-sector steering system, vibration dampeners, a more durable clutch than ever before and an additional two inches in wheelbase. These fine automobiles were produced and sold with a reasonable window sticker price ranging from $475 to $650, until they were replaced the next year with the Series BA Confederate. This four-door five-passenger sedan was born at the Buffalo Assembly Plant, which would produce these fine Series AE Independence cars for only one model year. Original factory add-ons such as two spare wire wheels and tires with mirrors, rear-mounted exterior luggage trunk, a passenger footrest bar and privacy curtains on rear-quarter and rear windows set this car apart from lesser cars of this model. This car also holds a small trove of vintage treasures, including the original points to do tune-ups, a spare axle, cabling, and an original Wickwire starter spring in its now-vintage box. This beautiful sedan starts easily and purrs with its original 3.2L (194cu in) βStoveboltβ straight six engine with updraft carburetor, producing 50hp and powering the car to a top speed of 85mph. All side windows roll down, including the third, rear-quarter windows. This Independence also boasts adjustable seat positioning and wooden floorboards emblazoned with the original GM factory stamps. This car has had two owners in the past sixty years, and is believed to be an all-original car. This beautiful Series AE Independence is a rare time capsule of history that would add value to almost any collection!
